The University of Mary Marauders

This week’s NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Jonathan Draheim. Draheim was lights out on the mound in the Marauders closest win of the weekend where they swept Truman State University. In the second game of the series on Saturday, Draheim started the game off strong striking out the first three batters he faced and four of five. With a pair of Truman State runners in scoring position in the third inning with just one out after a UMary error and a double, Draheim stranded both after inducing a foul ball fly out to left and a line out to center. He then retired nine of the next ten hitters he faced, allowing just one more hit. Draheim fanned seven Bulldog batters while only allowing one walk and two base hits in the complete-game shutout. Saturday’s 2-0 win was Draheim’s 12th career win and second shutout in the orange and blue. Draheim is a senior RHP from Jordan, MN.
