Julia Hammerschmidt was named NSIC track athlete of the week!

Competing at the 94^th annual Howard Wood Dakota Relays on May 3-4, Hammerschmidt broke both the school and meet record in the 400 meter hurdles. The native of Hinrichshagen, Germany, breezed over the barriers in a scintillating time of 59.63 seconds. An NCAA provisional qualifying time, her clocking places Hammerschmidt 11th on the national leaderboard and first in the NSIC.

Hammerschmidt also joined forces with Cali Modglin, Abbey Zastrow and Nicolyn Brown to place second in the 4x100 meter relay at the Dakota Relays with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 46.82
