2018
Before finishing 6th on the podium at the Super Regional 3 tournament, Tate won 27 matches, 18 coming by bonus point victories. Tate was an impressive 13-1 in duals, going undefeated in NSIC duals, earning him All-NSIC and Wrestler of the Year Honors. Tate place at multiple tournaments throughout the season, including a 5th place finish Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana. Outside of wrestling Tate is a leader of UMary SAAC, attending the NSIC SAAC Summit as a representative.
 
2017
During his sophomore campaign he accumulated an overall record of 25-10 going 18-6 against NCAA Division II opponents. Adding to his falls record he gathered 7 falls, 44 takedowns, and 12 four-point nearfalls. Mr. consistent proved to be reliable once again with a 12 match win streak, 5 of those wins coming by way of bonus points, before falling to eventual NCAA Division II national runner-up Blake Bosch in a 3-2 match. Although he fell in that match he set the tone for team, as the team continued on to top the Dragons in the final home dual meet of the year. He finished his season going 2-2 at the Super Region 3 tournament.  During the year, Tate was studious and earned himself First Team All-Academic with a 3.72 GPA.
 
2016
During his true freshman campaign he amassed a 25-12 record. During that time he accumulated 65 takedowns, 3 majors, 3 technical falls, and record breaking 12 falls. Tate proved to be reliable for the team with an 8 match win streak during dual meets, 5 of those matches providing bonus points for the team. He finished his season going 2-2 at the Super Region 3 tournament. 
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
Barnhardt, a local wrestler from St. Mary's High School in Bismarck, is a four-year letter winner for the Saints. He has amassed a 78-12 overall record in the past two years, including 32 pins and nine technical falls. In 2012, Barnhardt placed fourth in the North Dakota Class A West Region at 113 and placed fifth in the Class A state tournament. He improved his standing in his weight class in 2013 with a second place finish in the Class A West Region at 120 and third place in the Class A state Tournament. Last year he finally reached the top of the board with a first place finish in both the Class A West Region and Class A state tournament at 126 pounds. At the national level, Tate earned All-American status as the 2013 USAW-Cliff Keen National Championships in the cadet age group. Tate is predicted to wrestle 133 for the Marauders.
