In his lone season at Bismarck State College in 2014-15, Trevor Zacher earned All-Mon-Dak Conference and All-Region XIII honors after leading the Mystics in scoring. The native of Beulah, N.D., averaged 14.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game while connecting on 43.9 percent of his field goal attempts. He made 35.4 percent of his shots beyond the arc and 80 percent of his free throws.
Zacher began his college career at NCAA Division II South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 2013-14 as a teammate of Erron Collins. In 25 games he averaged 7.2 points and 1.7 rebounds, making 91.1 percent of his free throws and shooting 39.7 percent overall. He led the Hardrockers in scoring three times, including a high of 18 points.
A first team all-state selection as a senior in 2012-13, Zacher was also the Region 7 Senior Athlete of the Year after averaging 18 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 3.0 steals for Beulah, who advanced to the regional championship game. As a junior, Zacher led Beulah High School to the 2012 state championship and was named the tournament most valuable player.
Also a two-time all-state football player and a three-year starter at quarterback, Zacher compiled more than 4,300 career passing yards for the Miners.
The son of Jamie and Sherry, Trevor's older brother Tyler was an All-American triple jumper for the University of Mary. He will major in psychology at Mary.
