2016-2017
Schmelzer appeared in 13 games. Averaging 0.5 points per game and 1.0 rebounds per game. She was also named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
 
2015-2016
Schmelzer appeared in 16 games, starting one of those games. She averaged 2.1 points per game, and 1.1 rebounds per game. Scored a game high and team high 17 points against Oglala Lakota College, 2 steals and ripped down a game high 7 boards in the game all in 19 minutes of action. Against the South Dakota School of Mines, Schmelzer made two big free throws for the squad. Schmelzer finished the season with a 61.9 field goal percentage and 87.5 free throw percentage. Anna was named to the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team.
 
2014-2015
Schmelzer appeared in 7 games. She averaged 2.8 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game. She scored a season high 13 points vs. Canadian Mennonite University, as well as ripped down 8 rebounds for the Marauders. She also had three steals all in 22 minutes of play. She finished the game with shooting 6 of 8 from the field. She finished the season with a 50 percent field goal percentage and 50 percent free throw percentage.
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
Anna was coached by David Crane, at Baraboo High School. Schmelzer joined U-Mary after a successful high school career in which she participated in swimming (one year), cross country (three years), basketball (four years) and track (four years).
 
Schmelzer was a two-time badger north conference champion, division 2 regional champions, sectional 1600m and 4x800 qualifier (track), 4-year tri-sport athlete recipient. She also participated in cross country, swimming and track.
 
Schmelzer maintains at 98.6 grade point average (3.94 on a 4-point scale) and is an active member of the Community. Anna Schmelzer is a member of the National Honor Society, Harold Shaefer emerging leader’s academy graduate, omicron delta kappa leadership member, FOCUS (fellowship of Catholic university students) student bible study leader, Spanish club, respiratory therapy club, and a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House.
 
Anna is studying respiratory therapy and Spanish, and will receive a minor in theology and chemistry. She is the daughter or Julie and Steve Schmelzer, and Sibling of Alec and Isabel Schmelzer, who is also a member of the Marauder Women’s Basketball Team.
