PRIOR TO UMARY
Preston Wachter is a graduate of Bismarck High School in Bismarck, ND. He played soccer, hockey, and ran track in high school and was part of two state championship soccer teams.
 
In 2019, Preston won the WDA 800M as a senior, with a time of 2:00.74. He also won the 4 x 400m and the 4 x 800m relays at Howard Wood as a senior.
 
At the 2019 North Dakota State Track Meet, Preston won the 4 x 800m relay and placed second in the 800m with a time of 1:57.01, which was also his personal best time.
