2003 Marauders Softball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Information

The University of Mary is excited to honor the 2003 Marauders softball team with induction into the Marauders Hall of Fame. We congratulate the members of this legendary team and invite all players, coaches and staff from the 2003 Marauders softball NAIA Final Four team home for the induction ceremony during Homecoming 2021, held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 8-10.

The 2003 Marauders Softball Team went 5-2 at the NAIA World Series and advanced to the Final Four, the program's best finish at a national championship. Under the direction of Marauders Hall of Fame coach Brad Walsh, UMary finished the season 38-16 overall, winning the DAC-10 title with a record of 19-3 before winning the Region III Championship at home. Danelle Murphy was named the NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Year and Nicole Seaver claimed regional player of the year honors. Murphy was also the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) 10 Most Valuable Player and was joined on the All-Conference team by Seaver, Amanda Hinton, Miranda Kephart, and Cassie Smith. Walsh earned DAC10 Coach of the Year. Murphy, Seaver, and Smith were all named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team.

The University of Mary Alumni Recognition Awards and Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is set for Friday evening, Oct. 8, on the UMary campus in the Lumen Vitae University Center Founders Hall. Festivities move to the MDU Resources Community Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 9, when the Marauders host the Bulldogs of the University of Minnesota Duluth in the annual homecoming game.

Please complete the RSVP form by Sept. 30. The 2021 University of Mary Marauders Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday, Oct. 8. A social begins at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner at 6 pm at Founders Hall in the Lumen Vitae University Center on the UMary campus.

All members of the 2003 Marauders softball team will receive up to four complimentary tickets for the event, one for you and three guests.
