2024 (Junior)
Appeared and started in all 19 games. Was named to the NSIC All-Conference Second Team. She was tied for first in assists (5) and goals (5) for the Marauders. Led the team in individual points with 15. Scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Minot State.  Scored and assisted against MSU Moorhead and Minnesota Duluth. Assisted both goals in the Marauders 2-1 victory over St. Cloud State in the quarter-finals of the NSIC tournament. Logged 1,213 minutes of game time. Recorded 41 shots with 27 of them being on goal. Was named to the 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.

2023 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 18 games and made 17 starts… Logged 1149 minutes… Scored two goals with one of them being a game winner against Bemidji State… Dished out one assist against Minnesota Crookston.

2022 (Freshman)
In Rio’s first year with the Marauders, she played in 17 games and started in 14 for the Marauders, totaling 1118 minutes on the field. Spruenken scored 2 goals and had 5 assists in the year earning her NSIC Second Team Honors.

PRIOR TO UMARY

HIGH SCHOOL: Spruenken played for the Vfl Borussia Mönchengladbach youth team. She scored a career-high of nine goals during one season at Mönchengladbach.

Personal: Daughter of Anne and Heiner Spruenken. Majoring in Biology with Pre-Med concentration and Minors in Chemistry and Psychology.
