2024 (Sophomore)
Awad earned All-NSIC First Team singles for the first time in her career. The junior from Cairo, Egypt, went 11-3 in #2 singles and 8-1 against NSIC competition… She and her partner Maria Estinvil went 7-6 in #2 doubles competition and 6-2 in conference action.

2023 (Freshman)
Awad earned All-NSIC Second Team singles in her first season at UMary. The freshman from Cairo, Egypt went 15-1 overall, 11-0 in conference action, and suffered her only loss in a close match against an NCAA Division I opponent. Awad was also named Female Rookie of the Year by UMary Athletics at the Night of Champions banquet. Awad went 10-6 overall and 7-4 in conference in doubles play with Doaa Farouk Mohamed. 

PRIOR TO UMARY
Hala Awad, 5’6” (freshman) graduated from Gulf English School in Cairo, Egypt.  She won several national titles and got straight A’s in the IGCSE exams. Tennis is a big part of her life and her goal is to keep improving her skills.  Hala is a computer science major and looks forward to traveling.  Her favorite places to visit are the Czech Republic and Greece.  Her spare time is spent trying out new things with friends.
