2018
Saw action in 5 games at Safety before suffering a season ending injury. Richard’s season was highlighted against St. Cloud when he had 5 total tackles with 4 being solo. Richard also had a season high 5 tackles against Bemidji State with 2 being solo. On the season, Richard registered 18 total tackles with 12 of them being solo.

2017
Saw action in 11 games. Richard’s season was highlighted against Northern State where he recorded 5 total tackles. On the season, recorded 25 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 1 pass break up.

2016
Redshirt season... Voted as Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year.

PRIOR TO UMARY
An all-state second team selection and an all-conference first team choice, Richard Bendish led Mandan High School to its first winning record in four years as a senior in 2015. Named the team defensive most valuable player, Bendish led the state with 11 sacks and posted 60 tackles, three forced fumbles, recovered four fumbles, and scored a touchdown from his linebacker position while leading the Braves to a 5-4 mark overall. For his career Bendish finished with 105 tackles and 17 sacks. A two-sport athlete Bendish also plays baseball and helped Mandan win a state title. A member of the National Honor Society and the school honor roll, he also earned academic all-conference honors. The son of Debra and the late Russell Bendish, Richard will major in engineering at the University of Mary.
