Second team All-Conference player, Amanda Pereira will join the Marauders next fall after playing the last two seasons at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan.
 
Pereira ended this season on a high note after receiving Jayhawk Conference and NJCAA National Player of the Week honors in the final week of the regular season. Pereira averaged 7.23 assists per set last season and averaged 2.12 digs per set. She also added 42 total blocks and 78 kills in 105 sets. She recorded 25-plus assists in 17 matches last season and in the Seward's last five matches, Pereira recorded double-figures in assists and digs.
 
Pereira and the Lady Saints aren't done with the volleyball season just yet. The team will compete in the NJCAA National Tournament on Nov. 17. It'll be Seward's first trip to the tournament in the last 13 years.
 
The daughter of Sidney Roberto dos Santos and Sonia Maria Lopes Pereira, Amanda will pursue a degree in physic therapy at the University of Mary.
