A North Dakota All-State volleyball player, Elise Bauman was team captain as a junior and a senior and played in three straight high school championship games for Century High School. The 2014 all-state second team selection and an all-region choice led the Patriots to a second straight runner-up finish and posted 746 digs and 71 aces. In 2013 Bauman earned all-state tournament honors as CHS placed second at state. She finished the year with 641 digs and 40 aces. As a sophomore in 2012, Bauman registered 162 digs as the Patriots won the state title. For her career, she recorded 1,549 digs and 111 aces. Also a member of the track & field team, Bauman pole vaults and competes in the long jump. A member of the National Honor Society, Kiwanis, the Patriot Ambassadors and Patriot Band, she has also received a National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence and the Presidential Academic Award. Her father, Bill, is a U-Mary graduate and her mother, Lisa (Ekroth), played two years for the Marauders volleyball team. Elise intends to pursue a degree in exercise science at U-Mary.
