ABERDEEN, SD – The University of Mary volleyball team (4-10, 2-4 Northern Sun) fell in three sets (25-20, 25-13, 25-14) on the road to Northern State University (10-4, 5-1 NSIC).
UMary recorded 28 kills on a .068 attack percentage, while NSU posted 46 kills on a .396 attack percentage. The Marauders put up 28 assists and did not record an ace, while the Wolves had 41 assists and four aces.
The Marauders battled hard in the first set, holding a 15-14 lead halfway through. The Wolves responded with an 11-5 run to take down the set 25-15.
NSU jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the second set and cruised to a 25-13 set victory. UMary held a 7-6 lead to start the third set. The Wolves would then take control, going on a 19-7 run to clinch the set (25-14) and the match.
The Marauders finished the game by putting up five blocks and 35 digs. The Wolves had eight blocks and 44 digs.

Holli Klettheimer recorded six kills, four blocks (one solo), and three digs.
Natalie Boehmer posted 19 assists and seven digs.
Gabrielle Reynolds had six kills.
Judith Burke put up five kills and four digs.
Norah Thome had 17 digs.
Ruby Rengo had four kills and two blocks.
Peyton Hohn had two blocks and two kills.
Sophia Heringer had two kills on four attempts to go along with
Chloe Solheid added six digs.
