BURNSVILLE, MN – After an outstanding performance at the 2026 NWCA Division II National Duals, Luke Tweeton was named NSIC Wrestler of the Week. Tweeton helped lead the Marauders to a sixth-place finish at National Duals.

The #4-ranked heavyweight finished the tournament with a 4-0 record, defeating three nationally ranked opponents. His most critical victory came against #12 Grand Valley State University, where Tweeton defeated #2 Carter Blough in the final match of the dual to give UMary a 23-20 victory.

He beat #6 Jake Powell of Tiffin University with a 10-5 sudden victory. The Frazee, MN, native took down #13 Isaac Sheeren of Lander University by a 4-2 decision. The senior also secured an 8-3 decision over Orest Nazarchuk of Maryville University.

This is Tweeton's first time winning NSIC Athlete of the Week. He has qualified for the NCAA Championships the past three seasons and earned All-American honors in 2024.

The Marauders head to Marshall, MN, to compete against Southwest Minnesota State University on Thursday, January 15, at 7 pm.
