ABERDEEN, SD – Issac Pegors and the University of Mary baseball team bashed their way to a doubleheader sweep at Northern State University. Pegors hit a home run in both games and drove in 10 runs on the day as the Marauders scored 33 runs and ripped 30 hits. UMary claimed the opener 19-8 and game two 14-3.
Pegors is on a tear for the Marauders. The junior outfielder has three hits in three straight games and in four of his last five games overall.
The 33 runs scored in the doubleheader was the most for the Marauders since plating 37 runs in a twin bill against Bemidji State University on May 2, 2023.

Krece Papierski led a 17-hit UMary attack with three hits – including a double and a home run – and drove in six runs while scoring twice.
Isaac Pegors matched Papierski with three hits, including a home run. Pegors also scored three times and drove in four for the Marauders.
PIVOT POINT
Leading 7-4 after three innings, the Marauders broke the back of the Wolves by scoring nine times in the fourth inning as 13 hitters came to the plate for UMary. Papierski started the scoring by doubling home Pegors. In his second plate appearance of the inning, Papierski cracked a 3-run home run to finish the scoring and give UMary a 16-4 lead.

PIVOT POINT
After scoring twice in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Pegors and a run-scoring double by Papierski, the Marauders scored five runs in the second with Pegors belting a grand slam to deliver the decisive blow in the game.
