SIOUX FALLS, SD – The University of Mary women's golf team took part in their final tune-up before the NSIC Championship, finishing 9
th at the Augustana Invitational at Elmwood Golf Course. Junior
Carrie Carmichael placed 9
th individually, her fifth top-10 finish of the season.
The Marauders were consistent on both days, with a 347 (+59) in round 1 and a 345 (+57) in round 2. The team remained in 9
th on both days.
Carmichael was in 17
th after the first 18 holes of play, shooting an 82 (+10). Her improved day 2, in which she shot a 78 (+6), allowed her to jump eight spots in the standings to secure a 9
th-place finish. Carmichael had a pair of birdies in round 1 to highlight her trip to South Dakota.
Annie Neva led the Marauders after round 1 with an 81 (+9), but her 87 (+15) on Tuesday landed her in 27
th.
Grace Stroh was in 51
st with a 181 (+37).
Ruby Heydt rounded out the team scoring with 183 (+39) in 56
th place.
