GRAND FORKS, ND – The University of Mary tennis team (6-9, 5-4 Northern Sun) wrapped up the 2025 regular season in dominant fashion, defeating Bemidji State University (7-9, 3-6 NSIC) 7-0.
With this victory, the Marauders have secured the fourth seed in the NSIC Tennis tournament. UMary takes on fifth-seeded Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday, April 25, at 4:30 pm in Sioux Falls, SD. The Marauders defeated the Bulldogs 4-3 earlier in the season.
UMary swept doubles competition 3-0, earning the Marauders one team point.
Chloe Chong Zhi Jing and
Ilona Freitag were victorious in #1 doubles 6-4 over Sophie Groen and Mia Leshem.
Maria Estinvil and
Anna Sueflohn took down #2 doubles 6-4 over Valesca Rodriguez and Lauren Rutten.
Valeria Bradley and
Luba Moyo won 6-3 in #3 doubles over Ana Lucia Ibanez and Julia Lindseth.
Chloe Chong Zhi Jing impressed in #1 singles, defeating Sophie Groen 6-4, 6-0.
Ilona Freitag earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Mia Leshem in #2 singles.
Maria Estinvil won 6-0, 6-4 in #3 singles over Valesca Rodriguez.
Anna Sueflohn took down #4 singles 6-1, 7-5 over Ana Lucia Ibanez.
Valeria Bradley was victorious 6-1, 7-5 in #5 singles over Blaike Zander.
Luba Moyo wrapped up #6 singles by defeating Julia Lindseth 6-3, 6-0.
