JAMESTOWN, ND – Two home runs by Genevieve Hastings were not enough as the University of Mary softball team (2-5) fell 6-4 to Dickinson State University and 8-5 to the University of Jamestown.
The Marauders remain in Jamestown, ND, as they challenge Mayville State University at 4:30 pm and Northern State University at 8:30 pm.

A home run in the top of the third inning put DSU up 2-0 in the game. UMary responded with four runs in the bottom of the third.
Chloe Robinson got the Marauders on the board when she laced a triple to right field, scoring 
Jaraya Diaz. 
Ariana Retuta then doubled to left field to bring home Robinson. 
Genevieve Hastings gave the Marauders a 4-2 lead after she smoked a ball over the left field wall.
An RBI single and a sac fly would see the Blue Hawks tie the game up at 4-4 in the top of the fifth inning. An error in the top of the seventh inning proved costly for the Marauders as DSU scored two runs to take a 6-4 lead.
Retuta and Hastings reached via singles to bring the game-winning run to the plate. The Marauders failed to score as the game finished 6-4.
Hailey Altenhof got the start for UMary as she pitched four innings, allowing two runs while striking out two batters.

Two home runs gave UJ a 2-0 lead after the first inning. The Jimmies added four more runs in the third and fourth innings to take a 6-0 lead. 
Genevieve Hastings made it a 6-2 ballgame after she smashed a homer to right field in the top of the fifth inning, scoring 
Chloe Robinson.
UJ added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, making the score 8-2. UMary showed grit, rallying for three runs in the sixth inning.
Madison Hunter singled to left field, scoring 
Kelsey Mischel. 
Jenel Mallari then singled to bring home Hunter. 
Madison Schamanski made it an 8-5 game when she smacked a single to score Mallari.
The Marauders failed to score in the seventh inning as the Jimmies won 8-5. 
Elyssa Verploegen pitched 3.2 innings of relief and allowed two earned runs while striking out two batters.
