BURNSVILLE, MN – After missing over a month of competition, Sean Solis returned to the University of Mary wrestling lineup to win the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Solis, ranked #6 by the NWCA at 141 pounds, helped the Marauders go 2-0 over the weekend. UMary defeated Northern State University 23-9 and Minnesota State University Moorhead 30-9.

The Long Beach, CA, native returned against NSU's #12 Braydon Mogle and won via a 4-2 decision. Solis then wrestled MSUM's Pedro Velazquez. With the score tied at 1-1 in the third period, Solis landed a takedown with 30 seconds left in the match and went on to win 5-3.

Solis is now 18-6 this season with four wins against nationally ranked opponents.

Solis and the Marauders travel to Minot, ND, to compete in the Battle for the Barrel against Minot State University on Friday, February 7, at 7 pm.
