BURNSVILLE, MN – After outstanding performances this season, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has announced
Reece Barnhardt and
Sean Solis to the 2024-25 NSIC All-Conference team. Barnhardt was named to the NSIC First Team, and Solis earned Second Team honors.
Ranked #1 in the nation at 133 pounds, Barnhardt finished the season with an overall record of 22-2. The Bismarck, ND, native went 13-0 in duals and 9-0 in conference duals.
For the third year in a row, Barnhardt has earned NSIC First Team honors. The three-time All-American looks to punch his ticket to nationals for the fourth straight season at the NCAA Super Regional V.
Solis is ranked third in the nation at 141 pounds after going 20-6 in the season. The Long Beach, CA, native went 5-1 in conference duals, his only loss being a one-point decision to #1 Cayden Henschel.
This is Solis's first season with the Marauders after transferring from North Dakota State University this fall. Solis will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the first time in his career at the Super Regional V.
The Marauders gear up for the NCAA Super Regional V in Sioux Falls, SD, on March 1 at 10 am. The wrestlers who finish in the top three in each weight class advance to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships.
