LIBERTY, MO – The University of Mary softball team (5-10) fell in a road doubleheader 12-1, 11-0 to William Jewell College (6-8).

A two-run homer put WJC up 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning.
Janelle Bergmann drove in the Marauders only run after she smacked a single to center to score
Chloe Robinson.
The Cardinals exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the third inning to take an 11-1 lead. WJC added another run in the fourth inning, finishing with a 12-1 win.
The Marauders recorded seven hits and one walk, while the Cardinals produced 14 hits and three walks.

The Cardinals grabbed a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and never relinquished it. WJC added two runs in the second inning and five runs in the fifth to win 11-0.
The Marauders had four hits and no walks, while the Cardinals recorded nine hits and three walks.
