BISMARCK, ND – Luba Moyo and Ilona Freitag impressed as the University of Mary tennis team (1-2, 1-1 NSIC) fell 5-2 to Minnesota State University, Mankato (3-0, 2-0 NSIC) on senior day.

The match opened with the Mavericks sweeping the doubles competition, giving them one team point. Chloe Chong Zhi Jing and Ilona Freitag fell in #1 doubles 6-4 to Freia Lawrence and Avery Stilwell. Maria Estinvil and Anna Sueflohn lost 7-5 in #2 doubles to McKenna DeMarce and Elizabeth Felderman. Valeria Bradley and Luba Moyo were defeated 6-1 by Hana Minisy and Taina Cordeiro in #3 doubles.

Ilona Freitag showed grit in her victory in #2 singles, defeating Avery Stilwell 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

Luba Moyo was excellent in #6 singles as she took down Georgia Deml 7-6, 2-6, 6-2.

Chloe Chong Zhi Jing fell 6-3, 6-1 in #1 singles to Freia Lawrence.

Maria Estinvil dropped her match in #3 singles 6-4, 6-2 to McKenna DeMarce.

The matchup at #4 singles saw Anna Sueflohn lose 7-5, 6-1 to Hana Minisy.

Valeria Bradley lost in #5 singles 6-1, 6-0, to Elizabeth Felderman.
