MANHEIM, PA – The University of Mary wrestling team (3-0, 2-0 NSIC) is ranked 19
th in the latest NCAA DII Coaches Rankings released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. Four Marauders are nationally ranked in their respective weight classes.
Luke Tweeton moves up to #4 at heavyweight. Tweeton is coming off a third-place finish at the 46
th Midwest Classic. The Frazee, MN, native went 6-1 at Midwest with his only loss coming to #3 Isiah Vance (Pitt-Johnston).
Jacob Strausbaugh is ranked for the first time in his young career, coming in at #7 in the 133-pound weight class. Strausbaugh took gold at the Jimmie Open and the DWU Open. The freshman has yet to lose to an NCAA Division II opponent.
Sean Solis comes in at #11 at 141 pounds. The Long Beach, CA, native is undefeated in duals this season with a 3-0 record.
Kaden Renner comes in at #15 at 157 pounds. Renner has won all three of his dual matches, winning two by pinfall and one by techfall.
The Marauders return home to host the University of Jamestown on Friday, December 19, at 7 pm in the McDowell Activity Center.
