BISMARCK, ND - The #14 University of Mary wrestling team (1-0) dominated in their first dual of the season, defeating Bismarck State College 48-6 at the BSC Armory. Three Marauders won by pinfall, and three were victorious by technical fall.

The dual kicked off at 133 pounds after BSC forfeited the 125-pound weight class. Ben DeForest (133) defeated John Kenney by an 8-2 decision.

#3 Sean Solis (141) made his season debut in spectacular fashion by pinning Kameron Stiffler at the 0:53 mark. Anthony Nunes (149) continued his great start to the season by defeating Braydnn Terry by a 24-6 tech fall.

#7 Kaden Renner (157) competed in his first match of the season, taking down Izac Turner by an 18-1 tech fall. Lane Ewing impressed at 165 pounds, pinning Colton King after 1:30 of action.

Wyatt Elam (174) had the quickest match of the night after he pinned Liam Hase in 40 seconds. Sam Bruss (184) earned an 18-1 tech fall victory over Greg Fuher.

The Mystics earned an upset victory at 197 pounds, when Isaiah Horan won via pinfall over Jose Reyes. The Marauders won at heavyweight via forfeit and took down the dual 48-6.

The next competition for the Marauders is the UNK Younes Hospitality Open on Saturday, November 22, at 8:30 am.
