MOORHEAD, MN — The University of Mary swimming and diving team (5-1, 3-1 NSIC) won 10 swimming events in their 150-65 win over Concordia College.
The dual opened with the team of
Madeline Desmond,
Elise Altringer,
Kamya Smith and
Felicity McCallen winning the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:58.16.
Amber Norgaard won the 1000 yard freestyle after recording a time of 11:44.25.
Elise Altringer took down the 200 yard freestyle, posting a time of 2:04.25.
Peyton Wunderlich was victorious in the 50 free after she produced a time of 25.46. The Marauders took the first three spots in the 400 Yard IM as
Samantha Sheridan (4:59.16) won, followed by
Lola Sheridan (5:14.58) and
Sarah Towey (5:22.29).
Lola Sheridan won the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:23.53. UMary took the top three spots in the 100 Yard Freestyle as
Madeline Desmond (56.17) grabbed gold, followed by
Michaela Desmond (56.84) and Altringer (57.67).
Sophie Pellegrino (2:24.84) won the 200 yard backstroke, and
Brenna Newlan (2:27.30) placed second. Wunderlich (5:32.22) picked up her second win of the day by taking down the 500 Yard Freestyle, while `
Teresa Cavanaugh (5:49.87) finished second.
The dual ended with the team of
Michaela Desmond,
Sarah Bernasconi, Smith and Wunderlich winning the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:45.57.
The Marauders next competition is the NSIC Swimming and Diving Championships. The NSIC championships begin on February 12 and conclude on February 15.
