DULUTH, MN –
Sariah Perez posted three hits as the University of Mary softball team fell 11-0, 4-1 in their doubleheader to the University of Minnesota Duluth.
UMary (9-37, 2-22 Northern Sun) was outhit 20-8 by UMD (39-14, 20-8 NSIC).
GAME 1 |UMD – 11, UMary - 0
The Bulldogs took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. A three-run homer by Elle Potts in the bottom of the second made it a 7-0 ballgame. UMD added four more runs in the fourth to secure an 11-0 win after five innings.
Sariah Perez and
Jaraya Diaz recorded the Marauders only two hits in game one.
GAME 2 |UMC – 4, UMary - 1
UMD scored one run in the first three innings to take a 3-0 lead. UMary had runners reach base in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings but failed to bring any of them home. The Bulldogs extended their lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Katelyn Falk singled to center field,
Ariane Sims put the Marauders on the board when she smacked a double to deep right-center to score
Janine Warne, who was pinch-running for Falk. UMary was unable to capitalize any further as the Bulldogs claimed the 4-1 victory.
Nicole Eckhardt was great in relief as she went four innings and allowed zero runs on four hits.
