ST. CLOUD, MN – A frantic late charge by the University of Mary baseball team came up short in a 13-11 loss at St. Cloud State University. SCSU (21-13, 17-7) opened the scoring with five in the first and would claim an 8-2 lead. After the Marauders closed within 8-4 on a 2-run home run by Hull the Huskies pushed their lead to 12-4.
Taking advantage of two SCSU errors in the eighth, UMary scored four unearned runs to close within 12-8. Down 13-8 entering the ninth inning the Marauders took advantage of another Huskies miscue to score three more runs with Edmands,
