BISMARCK, ND – Four University of Mary scholar-athletes earned 2023-24 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team recognition, as selected by College Sports Communicators. Earning Academic All-District honors for the Marauders are
Mariah McKeever,
Lexie Schneider,
Ryleigh Wacha and
Megan Zander.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top scholar-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom and are selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America / CoSIDA). To be nominated, a scholar-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16, 2024.
McKeever is a graduate student from Ada, MN, pursuing a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Schneider is a graduate student from Appleton, WI, earning a master's degree in Organizational Leadership.
Wacha is a junior guard from Fargo, ND, majoring in Exercise Science.
Zander, a senior from Mandan, ND, is earning degrees in Communication and Marketing.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
