ATLANTA, GA - After an outstanding career at the University of Mary,
Lexie Schneider was named a 2024 WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches' All-America honorable mention for her performance during the 2023-24 season.
Schnieder becomes the third Marauder to be named a WBCA honorable mention All-American, joining Britney Dietz (2016) and Cassie Askvig (2020).
The Appleton, WI, native averaged 20.6 points per game, 9.4 rebounds per game and shot 54.7% from the field. Schneider, the Northern Sun Player of the Year, ranked 6
th in the NCAA in scoring, 6
th in double-doubles, 4
th in field goals made and 2
nd in free throws made.
Schneider ranks sixth all-time at UMary in scoring (1,636) and fourth in rebounding (949). Since the Marauders joined the NCAA, she is the all-time leading rebounder and is third in scoring.
Schneider was named to the NSIC All-Tournament team for her excellent performance in the 2024 conference tournament. She averaged 22.3 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game over the three games.
Schneider helped lead the Marauders to one of the best seasons in program history. UMary finished the season with 22 wins, which ties an NCAA program record. The Marauders made it to the NSIC championship game for the first time and finished with a program-best 16 Northern Sun wins.
