BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary volleyball team (2-12, 0-6 Northern Sun) were overmatched in their contest against #12 Concordia University, St. Paul (10-4, 5-1 NSIC), losing all three sets (25-9, 25-13, 25-16).
The Golden Bears got a strong start in the first set and never let up, winning 25-9. CSP maintained their strong play in the second, winning 25-13. The Marauders had more success in the third set but could not secure the set as the Golden Bears won 25-16.
CSP held a 50-12 advantage over UMary in kills. The Marauders held the advantage in errors committed as they made 12 errors, and the Golden Bears recorded 15. UMary had more blocks in the match, as the Marauders had eight while CSP had six.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
McKenna Kirkpatrick led the Marauders in blocks with five. She also recorded three kills.
Maddy Freed posted a team-high 12 assists.
Kaia Sueker had the most digs (five) on the team.
Maddie Cooper and
Gabby Caskey both recorded three blocks and two kills.
