BISMARCK, ND – The 2023 Northern Sun baseball tournament takes over the cities of Mandan and Bismarck for four straight days of championship action. Eight teams will compete Wednesday through Saturday, May 10-13, for the Northern Sun title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Central Region tournament.
 
Veterans Memorial Ballpark at BNC Field in Mandan, ND, and Municipal Ballpark at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field in Bismarck, ND, will host the up to 15 games needed to crown the 2023 NSIC champion.
 
The double-elimination tournament opens at 12 noon on Wednesday with #1 seed and NSIC regular season champion Augustana facing #8 Wayne State College followed by a 6 pm contest featuring #2 Minnesota State University against #7 Winona State University, both at Mandan's Veterans Memorial Ballpark at BNC Field.
 
Wednesday's games at Bismarck's Municipal Ballpark at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field features #4 St. Cloud State University against #5 Southwest Minnesota State University at 12 noon and #3 University of Minnesota Crookston facing #6 Minot State University at 6 pm.
 
Thursday's games features three games at both sites starting at 12 noon. Friday's and Saturday's games are scheduled to be played at Mandan's Veterans Memorial Ballpark at BNC Field.
