Making his first start following six relief outings in his first season at UMary, Halen Knoll held Minnesota State in check during a 7-inning complete game. Knoll gave up just two runs on five hits while striking out three and walking one. Both runs he allowed came in the third inning to give Minnesota State its lone lead of the day at 2-1.

PIVOT POINT
Down 2-1, the Marauder stook control of the game with a 3-run outburst in the fifth inning. UMary loaded the bases on singles by Ben Prediger and Kalem Haney before Michael Polson earned a walk. Daniel Martin came to the plate. Swinging at the first pitch, Martin fouled the ball off his leg and had to leave the game. Pinch-hitting with one strike already in the books, Will Brassil fouled off four pitches and took one for a ball before driving a single through the middle of the infield to score Prediger and Haney to give the Marauders a 3-2 lead. Josh Walker followed with a 2-out single to score Polson with the 3rd run of the game.
