#14 Marauders host #5 Huskies, #20 Wolves in final home duals of the season

BISMARCK, ND – Following a huge weekend sweep on the road, the #14 University of Mary wrestling team (13-2, 6-1 NSIC) returns home to host #5 St. Cloud State (12-1, 5-1 NSIC) on February 10. UMary will take on the notoriously challenging Huskies on Friday at 7 pm in the MAC. The Marauders will then host #20 Northern State University (9-4, 4-3 NSIC) Saturday, February 11 at 7 pm. 

SPONSORS
Friday night's dual against St. Cloud State University will be sponsored by McQuade Distributing. Friday will also feature a "Family Night" theme, along with a 50/50 raffle and music performances from the UMary Blue Crew pep band. 

On Saturday, February 11, Laughing Sun Brewing will sponsor the Marauders dual against Northern State University. UMary Wrestling will also honor the graduating seniors in the program on Saturday for senior night. 

Each dual sponsor will be offering complimentary tickets for their respective dual while supplies last at their locations in Bismarck.

SENIOR DAY
The Marauders will be graduating a strong class of seven wrestlers this spring. Saturday's senior night will recognize Lincoln Turman, Devin Steidler, Anthony Velazquez, Levi Malcolm, Riley Noble, Riley Mitchell, and Jacob Morgan and all of their accomplishments before the dual against Northern State. 

ARMADA SOCIAL
Also prior to Saturday's dual, the University of Mary Armada will be hosting a social sponsored by Schmitz-Holmstrom CPAs in the Apple Creek room on the lower level of the Lumen Vitae. The social is open to all Armada members who have supported the Marauders this year from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm just in time for the start of the dual. 

LAST TIME OUT
In a battle of two teams ranked #14 in the NWCA DII poll, the Marauders came out with a fearsome ambition against Augustana University. The Marauders confidently collected all official matches of the dual for a 36-0 sweep. UMary followed this defining victory with another dominating performance against Southwest Minnesota State University, defeating them 39-3 and completing the weekend sweep. 

ST. CLOUD STATE UNIVERSITY 
The Huskies come off a strong weekend competing at the Don Parker Open in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. While on the road, the Huskies also overpowered Upper Iowa University 27-9 on February 2. St. Cloud State currently holds the no. 5 ranking in the NWCA poll. The Huskies have seven wrestlers individually ranked with #7 Paxton Creese at 125 pounds, #11 Sam Spencer at 133, #11 Alyeus Craig at 141, #8 Joey Bianchini at 149, #2 Nick Novak at 157, #1 Abner Romero at 174, and #10 Dominic Murphy at 197. 

NORTHERN STATE UNIVERSITY 
In their final dual at home, Northern State claimed victory over Minnesota State University in a 29-8 final. The Wolves rank #20 in the NWCA with only two wrestlers individually ranked, #7 Wyatt Turnquist at 149 pounds and #3 Cole Huss at 197.
