MOORHEAD, MN - It was an eventful day for the #9 University of Mary wrestling team as Reece Barnhardt and Braydon Huber claimed runner-up finishes in the Dragon Open on Sunday, December 4, at Moorhead, MN. Overall all eight Marauders who competed placed on the day, including three who  wrestled unattached.

Barnhardt took second in the 125-pound Elite Division, winning his first matchup against the Jackrabbit Wrestling Club's Julian Tagg by a 5-4 decision. The All-American from Bismarck, ND, lost a 5-0 decision to Concordia-Moorhead's Ty Bisek in the final.

Finishing second in the 165-pound Elite division was Huber. The senior All-American got out to a great start, defeating Northern State University's Spencer Roth by a 16-0 technical fall. The Post Falls, ID, native defeated South Dakota State University's Brock Fettig by a 5-1 decision in the semifinals.

Other Marauders Who Placed:

• Jose Reyes grabbed third place in the 285-pound elite division after he defeated Concordia-Moorhead's Mason Swanson by a 6-3 sudden victory
• Chase Milligan took fifth in the 133-pound Elite division after defeating SCSU's Ashton Clark by a 7-1 sudden victory
• Joey Mushinsky finished sixth in the 165-pound Amateur Division

UNATTACHED MARAUDERS

• Wrestling unattached for UMary, Isaac Stewart finished as the runner-up in the 125-pound Elite weight division. Stewart defeated Concordia-Moorhead's Robert Sherk by pinfall at the 0:53 mark. Advancing to the finals after gaining a win by a medical forfeit, Stewart lost in a 17-1 technical fall to St. Cloud State University's Dominic Ducato.

• Lane Ewing (unattached) finished fourth in the 157-pound Elite Division
