BISMARCK, ND – The 9
th ranked University of Mary wrestling team is to host their first dual of the season when conference rival Southwest Minnesota State University visits Bismarck, ND, and the McDowell Activity Center on Friday, December 1, at 6 pm. Note: In addition to the ten matches slated for the dual, UMary and SMSU anticipate a limited number of exhibition matches starting at 5:20 pm.

Make sure to arrive early to the Marauders first home dual of the season. The first 100 Marauders wrestling fans will receive 3-point takedown foam finger courtesy of Bruno's Pizza.

HOMETOWN MARAUDERS
The Marauders have four Bismarck natives representing all four Bismarck schools with a wrestling program competing in the UMary starting lineup.
Reece Barnhardt (St. Mary's Central High School), Kaden Decoteau (Century High School),
Kaden Renner (Bismarck High School) and
Matthew Kaylor (Legacy High School) all look to represent the local community.
MATCHUP HISTORY
The last time SMSU went up against UMary, the Marauders took home a 39-3 victory.
Jaden Verhagen and
Max Bruss earned pins over their opponents, while
Wyatt Lidberg won his matchup by a 15-0 tech-fall. The Mustangs hold a 7-6 series advantage. UMary has won the last five matchups.
LAST TIME OUT
Wyatt Lidberg took first place at the 12th annual Younes Hospitality Open. Lidberg started by winning his first two matches by technical fall. In his quarterfinal matchup, Lidberg defeated Dylan Vodicka (Nebraska-Kearney) by a 12-4 major decision. The semifinals saw the junior win a close 7-6 decision over Lazaro Crespo (Northwest Kansas Technical College). Lidberg won in the finals by winning a thrilling 13-11 decision over Jason Bynarowicz (Colorado Mesa University).
Sam Bruss took second in the Elite 165-pound weight division. Bruss won his first match by a 1-0 decision over Patrik Leder of Simon Fraser. In the semifinals Bruss was dominant in a 12-major decision over Tristin David (Colorado School Of Mines). Bruss lost in the championship match to Aaden Valdez (Adams State) by a 16-3 major decision.
Kaden DeCoteau (wrestling unattached) finished second in the 141-pound amateur division. DeCoteau won three of his first four matchups by fall before the freshman fell to Trason Oehme (Air Force) by fall at the 6:18 mark. DeCoteau continues his hot run as the freshman placed first in the DWU Open last week.
