KEARNEY, NE – Wyatt Lidberg took home the gold at the 12^th annual Younes Hospitality Open with a dominating performance in the 184-pound Elite division to lead the efforts of #9 University of Mary.
 
Overall five Marauders placed at the largest college tournament in the nation.
 
Lidberg started by winning his first two matches by technical fall. In his quarterfinal matchup, Lidberg defeated Dylan Vodicka (Nebraska-Kearney) by a 12-4 major decision. The semifinals saw the junior win a close 7-6 decision over Lazaro Crespo (Northwest Kansas Technical College). Lidberg won in the finals by winning a thrilling 13-11 decision over Jason Bynarowicz (Colorado Mesa University).
 
Sam Bruss took second in the Elite 165-pound weight division. Bruss won his first match by a 1-0 decision over Patrik Leder of Simon Fraser. In the semifinals Bruss was dominant in a 12-major decision over Tristin David (Colorado School Of Mines). Bruss lost in the championship match to Aaden Valdez (Adams State) by a 16-3 major decision.
