THIS WEEK
A busy week continues for the University of Mary volleyball team with a pair of games in Aberdeen, SD. After grabbing a win on Tuesday in Minot, ND, the Marauders will face weekend host Northern State University in a non-conference match at 7 pm on Friday, October 13. UMary then faces MSU Moorhead in a neutral site Northen Sun contest on Saturday, October 14, at 2 pm. Both matches will be played at Wachs Arena on the Northern State campus.
 
THE RECORDS
UMary enters the weekend 5-13 overall and 1-9 in the NSIC... Northern State is 13-4 overall and 6-3 in NSIC play (t-5^th)… MSU Moorhead is 5-12 and 2-7 in the NSIC (12^th place).
 
LAST WEEK
The Marauders were swept on the road last weekend at #2 Concordia-St. Paul and #RV Winona State… UMary continued its road trip with a Tuesday visit to Minot State University. Forced to rally after winning the first set, the Marauders won the last two sets to claim a 3-2 victory over the Beavers. Ally Gruber led the Marauders with 18 kills. Maddie Cooper added 12.  
 
MARAUDERS TO WATCH
Maddie Cooper is the Marauders most efficient offensive force. The junior middle hitter from Fargo, ND, is hitting .244 on the season and averages 1.91 kills/set. She had her best night of the season in the win at Minot State, posting 12 kills with no attack errors and a .571 hitting percentage. Cooper is 18^th in the NSIC in blocks/set (.78).
 
Ally Gruber provides an unrelenting outside attack for the Marauders. The senior from Belgrade, MN, leads the Marauders in kills per set at 2.73 and points per set at 3.14. She also chips in 2.76 digs per set. Gruber has reached double digits in kills a team-high nine times this season with a high of 22 in a win over MSU Billings. She has five double doubles. Gruber led the Marauders with 18 kills in the win at Minot State. She is 15^th in the NSIC in kills.
 
Nehkyah Ellis is having a strong senior season. Five times she has cracked double figures in kills. The outside hitter is averaging 2.29 kills/set and is hitting a career-high .145. Ellis also averages 2.77 digs/set.
 
Kameron Selvig has been solid setting up the Marauders attack this season. The senior setter averages a career-best 7.78 assists/set. She has a career-high 3 kills and averages 2.56 digs/set. Selvig went over 1,000 career assists and now sits at 1,386.  
 
Kaia Sueker is one of the top liberos in the NSIC. The team leader in digs with 211, the Marshall, MN, averages 4.45 digs per set to rank 9^th in the league. For her career Sueker has 1,168 digs.
 
THE STAFF
Abby Pollart returns for her third season as the head coach of Marauders Volleyball. Joining Pollart also for her third season in the program is Assistant Coach Bree Spenner, as well as Thalianette Garcia in her first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
