MOORHEAD, MN - The #11 University of Mary Wrestling team (9-1, 2-0 NSIC) continues to impress this season, capping off their weekend with a 41-0 sweep over conference foe Minnesota State University-Moorhead. The dual completes a weekend sweep of NSIC opponents along with Thursday night's victory over Minnesota State, and a 2-0 start to conference action.
The Marauders have now won six straight head-to-head duals over the Dragons, and for the second straight year have swept the Dragons by the same score of 41-0.
Dante Roggio led off the night with an impressive offensive display, defeating Jonas Anez 8-0 at 165 pounds.
Max Bruss followed with another major decision at 174 pounds, taking control of his match with Anthony Castro 9-1.
One night after winning his match at Minnesota State by technical fall,
Wyatt Lidberg pulled off another impressive victory against the Dragons, locking Caleb Vacura in an armbar to win by fall just before the end of the first period at 2:57.

Matthew Kaylor handed UMary their third major decision of the evening, defeating Samuel Grove 17-6.
Luke Tweeton would keep the UMary streak alive with a gutsy win in overtime versus Airin Spell.
Going back up to the lightest weight classes,
Chase Milligan put athleticism and acrobatics on display in his 11-7 victory over Clayson Mele. Returning All-American
Reece Barnhardt looked impressive yet again with a 14-3 major decision, his 20th win on the season.
Laken Boese followed with another fall victory by armbar in the first period at 141 pounds.
Lincoln Turman and
Anthony Velazquez would complete the sweep with victories at 149 and 157 pounds, compiling a decisive 41-0 team score and dual victory.

The Marauders will now prepare for another Battle of the Barrel with Minot State University (5-4, 0-1 NSIC) next Sunday, January 22 at 2 pm in the MSU Dome. The Marauders will defend the coveted barrel after claiming it in an 18-17 clash on February 10, 2022. The Marauders already hold a 25-6 dual victory over the Beavers this season from December 11, 2022.
