DULUTH, MN– In their first conference road games, The University of Mary softball team (2-22, 0-2 Northern Sun) fell in a doubleheader to the University of Minnesota Duluth (17-8, 2-2 NSIC).

UMary grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning after
Brooke McClure singled to right field, scoring
Haley Berube.
UMD responded with five runs in the bottom of the second inning. A solo run in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth clinched a 10-1 Bulldogs victory.
The Marauders combined for three hits on the day, while UMD had 13.

UMary fell behind the Bulldogs early after UMD put up four runs in the second inning.
Devyn Ritz would cut the lead to one after she smashed a three-run homer to score
Sariah Perez and
Brooke McClure.
The Bulldogs finished the game off by scoring three runs in the fifth and sixth innings and giving UMD a 10-3 win.
The Marauders combined for eight hits and the Bulldogs had nine.
