FARGO, ND – For the first time since 2014, the University of Mary tennis team (7-4, 6-1 Northern Sun) defeated Minnesota State University Moorhead (4-9, 0-7 NSIC) 5-2.

The Marauders earned a point after sweeping their three doubles matches.
Chloe Chong and
Ilona Freitag were victorious in number one doubles 6-4.
Doaa Farouk Mohamed and
Emily Needham took home the win in number two doubles 6-2.
Callie McDonald and
Ellie Schmit fell in number three doubles 1-6.
Chong was dominant in her match against Emma Anderson, sweeping number one singles 6-0, 6-0.
Freitag took down Mikaela Greichen 6-2, 6-2 in number two singles.
Mohamed improved her number three singles record to 10-1 after defeating Miranda Greichen 6-1, 6-0.
In number four singles, Needham was victorious over Tia Dykema 6-3, 6-2.
McDonald lost 6-3, 6-0 in number five singles to Madison Bell.
Schmit finished the day off for UMary as she was defeated by Greta Reichmann 6-3, 6-3 in number six singles.
