Reigning national champion University of Mary defends its crown at the American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division 2 national championships beginning Monday, March 14, in St. Louis, MO. Pool play runs March 14-16 with the semifinals set for Thursday, March 17, and the title game on Friday, March 18.
 
RECORD
The Marauders are 33-4-1-2 (W-L-OTL-T) overall this season… UMary owns a 32-2-0-2 against ACHA M2 teams this year and hasn't lost to an M2 team since October 15, 2021.
 
STREAK
The Marauders have won 15 straight games, tying the longest win streak in the four-year history of the program. UMary won the first 15 games the Marauders ever played when the team first took to the ice in Fall 2018.
 
POOL PLAY
The Marauders are the #1 seed from the West region and headline Pool D. Joining the Marauders in Pool D is #2 seed Northeastern University, #3 University of Indiana and #4 University of Wisconsin… the Pool D champion will face the survivor of Pool A (#1 Lindenwood, #2 Liberty, #3 New Hampshire, #4 Montana State) in the semifinals on Thursday, March 17.

The trio of Marauders netminders are each having incredible seasons. All-American Kyle Hayden is 21-3-0-2 with five shutouts, a 1.70 goals against average and a .936 save percentage… Conan Hayton is 9-1-1-0 with a 1.84 GAA and a .927 save percentage… Quinn Ackerman owns a record of 3-0-0-0 with a 0.52 GAA and a .974 save percentage… overall the UMary goalkeepers own nine shutouts with a 1.62 goals against average and a .935 save percentage…

This season Alex Flicek (237 points) and Zach Garrett (228) became the first two Marauders to post 200 points in UMary history.
 
IRON MEN
In the fourth season as a program since first taking to the ice in Sept. 2018, the Marauders have played 186 games. Defensive partners Marshall Tschida and Drew Lenertz have played in every game.
 
TIMING
14 Marauders have game-winning goals this season with Zach Garrett (7), Seth Cushing (5), Alec Flicek (3) and Garrett Freeman (3) leading the way… Connor Hanson has had impressive timing on his goals as two of his three counters are game-winners… Kyler Moore, Johnny Witzke, Tanner Eskro and Derek Dropik each own two game winning goals to give the Marauders seven skaters with multiple game-winning goals.

A LOOK BACK | 2021 ACMA M2 CHAMPIONSHIP
Playing on their home ice in the Marauders first trip to the ACHA M2 national tournament in April 2022, UMary rampaged through the opposition to win the program's first title. UMary outscored the opposition 23-2. Kyle Hayden posted three shutouts and allowed one goal in four winning starts to earn most valuable player honors…  UMary defeated Davenport 6-0, Providence 3-1 and North Carolina State 5-1 in pool play… Andrew Huber posted a hat trick and Zach Garrett had four assists in a 7-0 win over Liberty in the semifinals… Hayden made 23 saves and Tanner Esko scored the winning goal midway through the second period in a 2-0 victory over Iowa State in the championship game.
