COLORADO SPRING, CO – Ben Prediger pounded out four hits and Calvin James continued to punish opposing pitching to lead the University of Mary baseball team to a split on the day. UMary took out host University of Colorado Colorado Springs 9-4. The Marauders then suffered a non-conference loss to fellow Northern Sun foe St. Cloud State University 13-3.
 
GAME 1 | Marauders 9 Mountain Lions 4
Cal James homered and drove in three runs for the second straight game against the Mountain Lions and catcher Ben Prediger had four hits and drove in the game-winning runs in a big 6^th inning for the Marauders. It was the second straight win for UMary over UCCS.
 
PIVOT POINT
Tied 4-4 after the Mountain Lions scored twice in the bottom of the 4^th inning, the Marauders exploded for four runs in the top of the sixth inning to run away with the win. Prediger, the Marauders catcher, singled to center field to drive home James Martin and Kendall Keller. An infield single by James scored Prediger, and James then scored on a double by Derek Shoen.

In a game against a familiar foe, St. Cloud State struck for five runs in the home half of the first inning in a neutral site game. UMary closed within 6-3 on home runs by Keller and Shoen and a run-scoring double by Arian Jimenez.
 
PIVOT POINT
The Huskies scored five time in the bottom of the first inning. After Tate Wallat singled up the middle to scored SCSU's first run Ethan Navratil doubled home two more. Drew Bulson followed with a run-scoring triple before a groundout scored the last run.
