ROCHESTER, MN – An impressive opening meet performance by the 8^th ranked University of Mary featured championships by Braydon Huber and Wyatt Lidberg and eight total top three finishes at the Yellowjacket Open.
 
Huber, a 2-time All-American, claimed four straight wins to capture the 165 pound title. In a series of close wins, including a 4-1 decision in the opener over St. Cloud State's Bryce Dagel and a 6-2 decision over Augustana's Tyler Wagner, Huber wrapped up the title with a 4-1 decision over Kaleb O'Reilly of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
 
Lidberg was impressive in taking the 184 pound title. After opening with a bye, Lidberg won his first match by a major decision before defeating a pair of wrestlers from NSIC preseason favorite SCSU. He defeated Tyson Meyer 6-2 in the semifinals before outscoring Shaeden Scheidt 8-5 for the championship.
 
Reece Barnhardt placed second at 133. Ranked first in the nation, the sophomore All-American opened with an 11-3 major decision over SCSU's Robby Horsman. After winning by decision in the semifinals, Barnhardt fell in the title match to SCSU's Caleb Meekins.
 
Laken Boese claimed second at 141. Following wins over opponents from SCSU and Augie, he suffered a 7-2 loss in the title match to Alyeus Craig of SCSU.
 
Max Bruss opened the day with a 6-1 win over Augie's Jacob Tvinnereim and a 5-2 decision over Nolan Paar of Wisconsin-LaCrosse before being tripped up in the final match by SCSU's Abner Romero.
 
Claiming third place finishes were Jaden Verhagen at 125, Riley Noble at 165, and Matthew Kaylor at 197.

Noble had one of the Marauders biggest wins of the day when he opened with a 4-3 win over Anthony Herrera of St. Cloud State, who is ranked 8th in the nation. Noble capped his day with a pin of Augie's Tyler Wagener at 3:52.

Kaylor defeated a pair of Augie wrestlers with a win by fall and major decision.
 
Also placing for the Marauders was Lincoln Turman at 149 (6^th), Leo Mushinsky at 157 (6^th), Riley Mitchell at 174 (6^th), Sam Bruss at 184 (5^th), and Levi Malcolm at 285 (5^th). Both Malcolm's wins on the day were by fall.
