JAMESTOWN, ND – A rousing effort throughout the lineup for #8 University of Mary that included six pins and a major decision propelled the Marauders to a 43-10 win at the University of Jamestown. The Marauders won eight of ten matches against the Jimmies in the first dual of the season for UMary.
Wins came fast and furious for the Marauders.
Jaden Verhagen needed just 40 seconds to dispatch Elijah Barajas at 125 before All-American
Reece Barnhardt followed with a pin of Jace Goebel 95 seconds in the matchup at 133.
Lincoln Turman picked up the Marauders next victory with another win by fall, ending the 149 pound match with a pin of Kollin Houthoofd in only 84 seconds. Turman's win separated the Jimmies lone wins of the night at 141 and 157.
Starting with a win by
Riley Noble at 165, the Marauders dominated the upper weights with victories in the last five matches of the night. In his first career dual for the Marauders, Noble dropped Trappier Botz in the final period at the 5:34 mark, the fourth straight win by pin for UMary.

Max Bruss came through with a 10-2 win by major decision at 174 before
Wyatt Lidberg claimed at 10-6 win at 184.
The Marauders finished the night with two more pins. 4
th ranked Matt Kaylor needed just 2:08 to end his match at 2:08 over Deklin Goeden. Levi Malcom claimed the Marauders eight win of the night and sixth by fall with a pin of Ian Howell at 1:50.
The Marauders (1-0) return to open action on Saturday, December 3, at the Dragon Open in Moorhead, MN. UMary makes its home debut when the Marauders host Dickinson State University and Concordia College in a triangular on Wednesday, December 7.
