Refusing to fade away, Triston Johnson scored for the Tommies with 3:25 remaining in the game.
Kyle Hayden then slammed the door shut on Saint Thomas to preserve the Marauders victory in UMary's first home game in nearly three weeks. The reigning ACHA Player of the Year finished with 25 saves.
Samuel Haupfear had a strong night in net for the Tommies, also making 25 saves on the night.
Witzke finished the game with a goal and an assist.
