LYNCHBURG, VA – The University of Mary hockey game at Liberty University on Friday, October 14, was declared a forfeit for the homestanding Flames. In a decision announced by ACHA Commissioner Jon Eccles, Liberty forfeits the game. 
 
UMary protested Friday's game at Liberty University. At issue is the use of a Flames skater taking a second attempt in the shootout prior to having the complete roster attempt a penalty shot before repeating skaters.
 
The Marauders and Flames concluded regulation and overtime tied 2-2 before Liberty won the shootout 2-1 but used an ineligible skater in doing so.

LYNCHBURG, VA – The University of Mary hockey team has protested Friday's game at Liberty University. At issue is a Flames skater taking a second attempt in the shootout prior to having the complete roster attempt a penalty shot. A decision is expected to be announced Saturday.
 
The Marauders and Flames concluded regulation and overtime tied 2-2. At stake is the Marauders 28 game winning streak. If the appeal is approved the shootout continues. If the appeal is denied the Flames win 3-2.
 
The Marauders and the Flames wrap their weekend series on Saturday, October 15. Puck drops at 4:30 pm ET/3:30 pm CST.
