BISMARCK, ND – After opening the 2021 season at home on Labor Day, the University of Mary women's soccer team waves goodbye to their home pitch for the rest of September. Beginning this week with a pair of games at the 7
th annual Rimrock Classic in Memory of Trevor Wildeberger in Billings, MT, the Marauders play their next six matches on the road.
The Marauders open the Rimrock Classic on Thursday, Sept. 9, when UMary faces off against Black Hills State University. The non-conference neutral site match is slated to start at 2 pm CST (1 pm MT).
The weekend concludes with a rematch from the Marauders season opener when UMary takes on tournament host MSU Billings. Kickoff is 4 pm CST (3 pm MT). The 26-game series that dates back to 1996 is deadlocked at 11-11-4. In the last seven meetings, the Marauders are 1-3-3 against the Yellowjackets.
The Marauders and the Yellowjackets played to a 1-1 draw on Monday.
Emma Davies scored UMary's lone goal in the 53
rd minute. Jordan Roe scored the equalizer in the 74
th minute.
Madisyn Waltman had a spectacular night in goal for the Marauders, turning aside nine shots.
UMary enters the weekend with a record of 0-0-1. Nineteen different players saw action for the Marauders, including seven newcomers.

Taylor Meyrick – both first-year transfers from Laramie County Community College - and freshman
Sophia Lange made their Marauders debuts in the UMary starting lineup.
The BHSU Yellow Jackets enter the Rimrock Classic with a record of 0-1-0 after falling to Southwest Minnesota State University 1-0 in their opener. The host MSUB Yellowjackets are 1-1-1. Also competing in the Classic is MSU Moorhead, who will play both the Yellowjackets and Yellow Jackets.

After non-conference play concludes this weekend, the Marauders begin their Northern Sun schedule Sept. 17 at St. Cloud State.
