WINTER PARK, FL – The University of Mary volleyball team began the Rollins College Invitational losing their first two games to Georgia College and Newberry College. The Marauders competed well and had their chances to win both games but ultimately fell short.
"We are consistently improving and seeing some great opportunities! We need to limit some unforced errors and finish out matches, but overall we had a really solid day," head coach

GAME 1 University of Mary 2 Georgia College 3
UMary jumped off to a great start as the Marauders took home the first set 25-16. UMary then lost the next two sets to Georgia College 22-25 and 16-25. The Marauders rallied back in the fourth set as they dominated 25-12. The final set was close, with the Bobcats won 11-15, giving GC the 3-2 win.

Natalia Cruz led the team with 14 kills while also getting 17 digs
Kameron Selvig had a team-high 35 assists, four serve aces and four kills on seven attacks
Kaia Sueker tied for a team-best 17 digs while contributing four assists
Kennedy Drewis had 12 kills with two blocks
Robi Binagi recorded seven kills on 11 total attacks

GAME 2 University of Mary 0 Newberry College 3
UMary lost all three sets to Newberry College in an incredibly close contest. The Wolves edged out the Marauders 24-26, 23-25, and 22-25 in the three sets.
