BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary volleyball team was victorious in their second home game as the Marauders defeated the University of Minnesota Crookston 3-1. UMary improves to 2-2 on the season with both wins coming at home.
The Marauders got off to a wonderful start as they won the first set 25-15. UMC responded in the second set as the Golden Eagles would win 25-18.
PIVOT POINT
UMary took over in the third set as the Marauders dominated winning 25-12. The fourth set went back-and-forth as the game was tied at 24 but UMary was able to pull out the 26-24 win as Nehkyah Ellis and Olivia Dickerson posted back-to-back kills for the win.

Kaia Lill finished with 38 assists and ten digs for a double double
Nehkyah Ellis had 19 kills, eight digs and three aces
Natalia Cruz posted 10 kills and 15 digs
STAT OF THE GAME
Freshmen Maddie Cooper recorded 14 kills with a .464 attack percentage. She had just one attack error in the game on 28 swings to help the Marauders to a .229 hitting percentage for the game.
