SPEARFISH, SD – Freshmen setters Kameron Selvig and Kaia Lill both posted double doubles and Maddie Cooper and Reagan Celaya each had a match with double digit kills as the University of Mary volleyball team dropped both of their games in the Marauders first doubleheader of the season. In UMary's first game the Marauders lost to host Black Hills State 3-1. UMary also lost its second match by an identical 3-1 score to Montana State University Billings in a neutral court matchup, dropping the Marauders record to 1-2 on the season.

The Marauders got off to a great start as they won the first set 25-23. The Yellow Jackets evened up the score at 1-1 after winning the second set 25-18.

PIVOT POINT

BHS began to take control in the third set as they were victorious 25-10. UMary was unable to rally in the fourth set as they fell 25-14, losing the match 3-1 to the Yellow Jackets.

Natalia Cruz posted eight kills, 10 digs and three aces

UMary fell behind two sets after losing the first set 25-15 and the second set 25-13. The Marauders began to make a comeback in the third set where they won 25-18.

PIVOT POINT

UMary's and had the fourth set tied 23-23 in the fourth set against MSUB. The Yellowjackets won the next two points and finished off the Marauders comeback, winning the game 3-1.
